HFS INTERVIEW
Hey friends! This is the interview I did for Hipsters from Spain, check it out:
There’s not many people that, without needing to mention their surname, it’s easy to recognise them. There’s a lot of Marys, Annes, Johns and Janes but, sometimes, saying “Miranda” is enough. There’s nearly just one Miranda. It’s a first name and, many time, sufficient. She is, without the shadow of a doubt, unique. Daughter to Argentinian singer Sergio Makaroff and Catalan designer Lydia Delgado, she grew up surrounded by art, creativity, painters, show and a piece of advice her mum gave her; that she must always follow what she felt inside, what she thought or knew deep down, even if she, her own mother, would say otherwise. Miranda emanates righteous rebellion, makes any sceptical question stereotypes, and, above all, she’s got this amazinggood vibe that surprises as well as convinces. “Pay attention to your intuition”, also said her mother, with whom she collaborates in fashion brandMiranda For Lydia. Intuition must have told Miranda not to set any limit; that’s how she’s a fashion designer, an illustrator, she’s one of the most famous bloggers in this country, she’s a DJ and she stepped into the world of acting until, as she says, she saw what was it like from the inside and run away. She likes to be surrounded by bizarre people, artists, “funny types”. She doesn’t need to act, really; characters come out of her. She dresses up, laughs, dances and nobody notices. And it’s OK like that. “Freedom is not being afraid of showing who you truly are”.
She says that since she’s more honest to herself, less of her hundreds of thousands of followers like her, but she’s ten times happier. “Before I’d do things or take pics that I knew the mass was going to like. Now I only do stuff that I like and truly define me”, she explains. She’s taking space from perfect breakfast pictures. She looks for something else. She mentions Stephen Ormandy, Blanca Miró, David Gómez Maestre or Filip Custic as people who inspire her; friends and people surrounding her. And nature.“I’d like to live in a island, away from the city and surrounded by nature. See the sun every day, be healthy, eat super well and stay calm. I don’t desire anything work wise or money or fame wise. Just the opposite. I want not to want any of that and to be happy with little”, she says. She’s aware there’s stillsome path in front before that point arrives. After some personality crisis and after having to make some internal changes due to annoying illnesses carried since she was a kid, Miranda has decided to listen to herself and to do it properly. “I’ve done my inner journey and I’ve understood a lot of spiritual things; you always have to listen to what your soul says. That’s being wise, being in contact with yourself”. She enjoys the little things. Saying whatever she wants. An it girl, an influencer or whatever it’s called, an artist, a designer, a non-actress and a DJ that lives and lets live with love,“always love”, as she says. She likes her Thailand retreats, yoga and the stillness, but also bizarre outfits and posting them on Instagram. Miranda, no doubt, loves her freedom.

Muchas gracias
